Studio Policies and Information

2009 - 2010

Registration   A one-time registration fee of $30.00 per child for the year 2009-2010 is required to reserve a space for all dance students.  Additional family members are $10 per child.  This fee is non-refundable.  Drop in fees are $18.00 per class.  Tuition is pro-rated for those who join after the first week of classes.

Tuition & Late Fees  Tuition is due on or before the first day of classes.  Tuition is charged per class per student.  Students who take more than one class are eligible for the second class discount.  Tuition must be paid in order for the child to participate in dance class.  Tuition that is not paid on time will automatically be charged a $15.00 late fee.  Tuition fees are NON-REFUNDABLE after the2nd week of classes.  All accounts must have a credit card on file (exception-those who pay 100%).  Students who have not paid their tuition, costume, recital and/or late fees will not be allowed to participate in the end of the year showcase.  Returned check fee is $25.00.  Punch card purchases (for Adult classes) are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Labor Day            September 7, 2009 (Monday)

Thanksgiving        November 24-27, 2009 (Tuesday-Friday)

Winter Break        December 12, 2009 to January 4, 2010 (Sunday-Sunday)

Spring Break         March 15-19, 2010 (Monday-Friday)

Attendance & Make-ups  Attendance is taken in every class.  Please call the studio in advance if your child is going to be absent.  Make-ups must be scheduled with your child’s teacher or the Dance Manager/Director.  If a class is cancelled by the teacher, the teacher will be responsible for the make-up class.  If a class is cancelled due to weather or other conditions, the studio will make-up those classes before the end of the semester.

Snow Days  The dance studio will call off by noon on a FUSD school declared snow day.  Please call and check the message recorder for information and messages.  SAFETY is our utmost concern.  If your child misses class due to inclement weather, illness or holiday, they may make that class up at another time.  If we take off for a snow day, then we will have a makeup class at the end of the year.

Parent Observations  Parents may observe their child’s class at the observation windows only.  Please do not enter the studio without an invitation from the teacher.  Please do not distract your child while they are in dance class.

Dress Code  Students must dress appropriately for dance class.  No jeans are allowed in dance class.  Hair should be pulled back and out of your child’s face.  Please do not wear your dance shoes outside of the studio.  Absolutely no street shoes will be allowed inside on the studio floor.  Please label all dance items!  Students must wear the appropriate footwear to participate in dance class. Students who are not dressed out properly for dance will not be allowed to participate in class!

Class Descriptions  Students must be able to perform the required skills in order to participate.  Students will be placed only by teacher recommendations and are subject to the approval of the Studio Owner/Director.   Please check with the Studio Owner/Director during registration.  Dancers in the preschool classes must be potty trained and willing to go into the studio without their parent.

Misc.   Students must wait inside the studio for parent pick-up.  Please notify the studio if someone else is picking you child up after class.  Teachers, who must wait for your child to be picked up 10 minutes or more after class, will be charge a sitting fee.  In case of an emergency, please contact the studio office.
